How long does a book take?

Usually three to six minutes. You can leave the page; the book appears in your library when it is ready. If a book has shown "Making" for more than 30 minutes, it will be marked failed and your credits returned automatically.

My book failed

Credits for a failed book are returned to your balance right away. The most common reasons are a story idea our safety check could not accept, or an illustration the image model refused to draw; try a different idea, setting, or art style.

If credits were not returned, email support@baobaotales.com with the book title.

Downloading the PDF

PDF download unlocks with any purchase (a credit pack or a Storyteller plan) and stays unlocked for every book in your library, including your free first book.

Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

Credits bought in the iOS app are managed by the App Store and credits bought on Android by Google Play, including subscription changes and refunds; use the store's own account page. Purchases on the website are handled by us: manage your plan from Account, and email support@baobaotales.com for a refund request.

Credits from a payment usually arrive within a minute. If they have not arrived after a few minutes, sign out and in again, then contact us with your receipt.

Seeing my books on another device

Sign in with the same method everywhere. If you used Sign in with Apple and want to use the website or an Android phone, add an email address in Account first; you can then sign in with an email code.

What happens to my child's photo?

It is used once to draw a storybook character and then deleted from our storage, usually within minutes. Only the drawing is used for the book. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Deleting my account

Go to Account → Delete account in the app or on the website, or visit https://baobaotales.com/en/account/delete. Deletion is immediate and removes your books and sign-in.
