Delete your Baobao Tales account

What deletion does

Deleting your account removes your books (story text, illustrations, narration, and PDFs), any uploaded photo that still exists, your email address, your preferences, and your sign-in. Remaining credits are lost. This cannot be undone.

We keep purchase records in anonymised form, without your name or email, for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We also keep a one-way hash (a fingerprint) of your email address so the free first book cannot be claimed again by re-creating the account; it cannot be turned back into your address. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Before you delete

Download the PDFs of any books you want to keep.

If you have a Storyteller subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in your store account first; deleting the account does not cancel store subscriptions. Subscriptions bought on the website are cancelled automatically.

Delete in the app or on the website

Open Account, scroll to Delete account, and confirm. The same option is available on this website after you sign in. Deletion is immediate.

Delete by email

If you cannot sign in, email support@baobaotales.com from the address you signed up with (or the one you added in Account) and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 7 days.
